Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our fast-paced MRO supplies business based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This role is critical to supporting sales growth, managing a high volume of enquiries, and delivering outstanding service in a busy, commercially driven environment.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience within a fast-paced MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) environment, alongside strong system and data management skills including Sage, Salesforce, and Excel.
Manage high volumes of inbound sales enquiries via phone, email, and CRM
Prepare, track, and follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates
Proactively upsell and cross-sell across a broad MRO product range
Process orders accurately using Sage (ERP system)
Maintain pipeline and customer data in Salesforce CRM
Track orders and communicate proactively with customers
Use Excel for sales reporting, margin analysis, and customer insights
Support external sales team and re-engage dormant accounts
Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams
Minimum 5 years experience in a fast-paced MRO / industrial supplies environment
Proven internal sales or sales support experience
Strong working knowledge of Sage, Salesforce CRM, and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage high volumes of enquiries under pressure
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Highly organised and detail-oriented
