Highways Foreman

Your new companyA leading contractor operating across the UK and internationally, delivering projects across multiple sectors including real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water.Your new roleWe are recruiting for a Civils Foreman to join a major highways scheme involving roundabout improvements and the construction of a new 10-mile dual carriageway. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the project by overseeing site operations and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

• Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
• Oversee pipejacking operations, ensuring alignment, safety and programme targets are met
• Manage installation of drainage systems, including sedimentation tanks and associated infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
• Plan and manage daily site activities in line with the programme
• Allocate labour, plant and materials effectively
• Monitor progress and report on performance, risks and issues
• Ensure adherence to method statements, risk assessments and permit systems
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure specifications are met
• Liaise with engineers and management to resolve technical and operational challenges
• Support and mentor operatives, promoting a positive safety culture

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on highways projects
• Strong understanding of highway construction, including earthworks, drainage, structures and surfacing
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
• CSCS card at Supervisor level or above
• Highways Passport
